U.S. troops returning from duty in Iraq will be carrying out homeland patrols in America from October 1st in complete violation of Posse Comitatus for the purposes of helping with “civil unrest and crowd control” - which could include dealing with unruly Americans after a complete economic collapse.

since this recent hurricane season, we will not go to the coast, allthough corpus cristy and port aransas were spared by ike, we are afraid that the water quality is bad, and that the beaches are dirty. so we decided to stay in the neighborhood and go camping at inks lake. then we are going to morgans point to a "Bulli Treffen" (transporters at the point) and camp there for two nights. since we are going to be passing our house on the way from inks lake to morgans point, we can restock in fresh food and clothing, on the way out from inks lake, we are going to make a little back-track to coopers BBQ (there is none better, not even the saltlike can live up to it)

while camping at inks lake, i would also like to tr to put the canoe in at tow to paddle a couple of miles to the lake buchanen water falls...

that lucky bastard, he is going to live in germany for 4
years...probably the only regret i have of not joining the service, a
job that moves you to germany...but also to iraq, soo not too upset.

i have known chris ever since i moved to texas in 1993 , his mom was
our realtor, and since we had similar interest, our moms decided we
should hang out. so we did. at the time we both were into metalica,
guns'n roses. pantara, arrow smith, nirvana, nine inch nails, and so
on... in 1999 he joined the airforce, and had lived in san antonio.
he would come to town ever so often, and we would hang out. sometimes
i came to visit him in san antonio and be drunk on the river-walk by
noon.

this picture is of as at my high school graduation in 1997.

he will be arriving in frankfurt on sunday at 7:20 am, meet him there with a sign that says "chris from texas" and buy him a drink...

i went ahead and decided to get a drive away tent for the bus... it will be perfect sleeping area for the dogs, a privat area to put a shit-box, and we have the freedom to make that run to coopers BBQ without having to pack up everything and running the risk of loosing our camp site.

Earlier this week we were told that, if hurricane ike were to travel
up corpus christy, then ike would reach all the way up here in central
Texas. However, if ike hits Galveston and Houston, then east Texas
could get hit pretty good. Turns out that ike is traveling up from
housten, so no hurrican in central Texas. Just a little rain and some
wind.

No, not really. I have been working allot this week, other than that
everything has been the same. Eating breakst crossants and taking dogs
on walk. No point in blogging all that. If you do want to see what
that looks like , then just browse through my arcive.

little fred has moved to Hawaii about a year ago, then he moved to Guam, and then he became a merchant marine. now he is back, and we went out to the lake to do some canoing... it was a great day,

first i had to remove a cache that i placed 2 weeks ago, because the location violated State Law... more specifically, you can not place a cache on a buoy.

we did a couple of laps around the island, and had the dogs follow on the beach...they did a great job, till we stopped and took a dip in the water. Krumpus ran off again, following a dear smell... i was not too worried this time, since we were on an island...Krumpus cant go too far, but finding her has still a feat. we figured out that krumpus was going in circles, we kept hearing her yalp from different directions. so we located a specific location that she kept going back to and waited for her... sure enough, we spotted her about 50 ft away as she was coming around. i ran over to her and was able to get her to submit again...

i also got to try out my new water proof case on the lake. it pretty much becomes a point and hope configuration, because you cant really see anything the viewfinder when the sun is out...
